"I LOVE my Nintendogs. I can't even think of where to begin. All my dogs are champs at something. Daisy, my shnauzer, is champion at agility. Well, they are all champs except Charlie. He's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I just play and love him. The only other game for DS I love more than Nintendogs is Dogz. I think every dog lover should play it! I LOVE dogs!"

"I'm no gamer, I can't seem to get control of the controller. But I do like to look at games and participate in puzzles and such when my boyfriend is playing. Old time favorites are Zelda and Pikmin.

Whem I saw Nintendogs I thought this would be THE game for me (easy to control and I like dogs). Unfortunately, I got really stressed out because I felt I abondonned my doggie when not playing with him. He ignored my voice commands and was really very sad, hungry and thursty when I started up the daily session on the DS.

In the end I brought the game back to the store because I felt *obliged* to play with my dog. And he didn't listen to any of my commands. Really frustrating.

The game is nice, smooth moves, authentic dogs and gameplay, but if you like dogs it's too frustrating to shut down your DS and do something else (he is WAITING there for you). Your dog depends on you for food, drink and his daily walk. If you own real pets, don't buy this game. Spend some time with your 'live' dog, cat, hamster or goldfish. That's time well spent.

"From the description: 'When you're close to a person with a DS who is also playing the game you can let your dogs meet eachother.' - Seriously.. when is this going to happen?? I've seen people playing with a DS before when going to work (seldomly), but theyre not playing this game! Friends of mine that DO have a NDS (not alot of them do) don't own this game and I'm beginning to wonder why I do.

I've chosen a dog from the pound (a Shiba Inu I think) and started to play with it a little, stroke it, threw stuff for him to bring back. I know you have to train them, but I wasn't *ever* sure if what I did was good. The animal didn't seem to learn.

The game wants you to speak commands through the mic whenever your dog learns something, but unless I'm doing it wrong (probably) it just doesn't work. Same for Dutch dog names if you want to call your dog. It won't listen because it can't remember a Dutch name? Weird stuff.

I've also walked my dog, you can go to the shop or participate in matches (beauty contests, command contests etc.). Not alot of fun. I thought this game was pretty small and I don't like it. In fact I think it's terrible. However, I gave the game to my sister (she's 16 y/o) and she actually got alot further than I did in a shorter time. So maybe this is a girl's thing and I should never ever get a dog in real life :P. I'm giving this a 3 out of 5. Not a 1 because my sister can do it and she likes it ("so cuuute") and not a 5 because I can't do it and I see myself as a gamer. "
